Looking for something cute to watch? Why not check out all the kawaii anime streaming on Crunchyroll! Here’s a few shows from my queue that you might have missed.

If you haven’t watched the legendary Mitchiri Neko cat march video recently, then go ahead and enjoy yourself first. Then be very excited that there’s a Mitchiri Neko anime series! It includes lots more musical cats, plus you can learn some new Japanese words. There’s ten episodes available now with new ones every Monday.

Sanrio Boys is a high school story but with boys who love Sanrio characters! It could easily have just been a cute fluffy show but it has a great story and should be a must-watch for any guys who love kawaii and feel a bit left out sometimes. There’s ten episodes to watch now and new ones on Saturdays.

I need to watch Working Buddies! soon as it’s all about cats! Two cat friends work at a different job each episode so it’s a cute way to learn more about Japanese businesses. It sounds a bit silly but I really find anime helpful when I visit Japan. They always feature a  lot of everyday things and it makes it easier to know how everything works. The first episode of Working Buddies! is in a convenience store and you’ll definitely visit a lot of those if you go to Japan.

There’s good stuff in the archives too. We’ve featured Bananya plush and products here many times but you might not know the characters are from an anime. Bananya is one of the more insane shows out there and I find it hilarious. The episodes are only 3 minutes long so you can watch all 13 pretty quickly.

You can watch all these shows on Crunchyroll. Most episodes are free to watch, either in full or as a sample, but they have ads and you have to wait a week or two for new episodes. Premium accounts start at £4.99 a month to watch shows as soon as they’re released without ads, plus new manga too. There’s a 14 day free trial so you can give it a go before you spend any money.

If you’re looking for a novel project to make, do check out the Heekkong on YouTube! The channel features a large and varied assortment of DIYs, from squishies to slime to miniatures. There are plenty of kawaii character crafts too featuring popular characters like Rilakkuma, Moomins, and Gudetama.

The channel is mainly in Korean, but the tutorials are always clearly filmed so the DIYs are still easy to follow along with. But don’t just take my word for it; here are a few of my favorites!

Gudetama fans: rejoice! There are several options to make cute things featuring our favorite depressed egg yolk. The channel features a video on how to make Gudetama version of their signature ball miniature crafts. The ball crafts are my favorite part of the channel!

Another option is this cute Gudetama slime DIY that has him placed inside an eggshell. I have yet to try my hand at making slime, but this is a such a cute idea that I’m tempted to try it.

The miniature Gudetama dollhouse would make a really cute toy for an appropriately-sized doll, or even just a cute desk decoration. The video includes measurements, and the necessary materials are listed in both Korean and English, so it’ll be easy to follow along with.

If you’re a planner, the new video on drawing stationery/back-to-school doodles might be helpful. It clearly illustrates how to draw 20 different images, which gives you plenty to work with. I love watching these kinds of videos because they always inspire new planner spread themes for me!

Don’t feel left out Rilakkuma fans: there’s plenty of videos featuring the cute bear and his friends too! The Rilakkuma “snowglobe” seems deceptively easy to make, and would make a real showpiece for a desk or shelf.

Good news for kawaii fans as the Aggretsuko anime is available on Netflix today!

It follows cute red panda Retsuko who has a boring office job with annoying coworkers and horrible bosses. When it all gets too much, she heads to the karaoke room to vent her rage with heavy metal songs. Here’s the trailer.

I’ve already watched the first episode and it brought back a lot of memories of my own horrible office jobs and I’m sure everyone who’s worked at one will recognise some of their coworkers, both good and bad!

There’s ten episodes to watch now, all in the original Japanese with subtitles. I can’t wait to watch the rest. Find out more on Netflix, and if you don’t have an account, you can sign up for a free trial month, which is plenty time to watch the season.

San-X are always coming up with the cutest new themes and the latest ones are no different with super cute new products featuring Sumikko Gurashi & Korilakkuma.

The friendship between Penguin? and Penguin (real) is one of the sweetest parts of the Sumikko Gurashi story. It got off to such a bad start! Apparently, they’re such good friends now that they’ve started an ice cream van called PenPen Ice Cream. I’ve been dying over this collection since it was announced – the ice cream van even has a penguin face on the front.

Me and Nic have already teamed up to place an order for our favourite plushies and will share some photos when they arrive. There’s so much cute stuff in the San-X shop though – I was quite tempted by this beach bag, even though we don’t get beach weather in Scotland. The bottom section is completely separate so you can use it to store your sandy shoes or wet swimming costume.

Korilakkuma is often just Rilakkuma’s sidekick but now he’s got his own collection – Korilakkuma Vacation. Apparently his dreams involve swimming in an ocean of fruit soda with an adorable penguin. Fair enough! It’s a very sweet theme with lots of pastel colours, shells and fluffiness. It’s not that big a collection but the San-X shop has plush, pouches, mirrors, pillow and more.

If you can make it to a Rilakkuma Store in Japan, look out for these amazing exclusive plush – they’re all set for the beach.

You can order most of these products from the San-X shop using a forwarding service like Tenso, but some items are already sold out, even though they only went online yesterday!

If you like your plushies soft, pastel and lightly scented then the Disney Ufufy plush from Japan are just for you, and now available worldwide.

The small size which is a little over 4 inches are scented. The smell is very faint and not overwhelming. Bambi is apple blossom scented.

If you are looking for a more huggable size the medium size are perfect for that coming in at 12 inches like this Winnie the Pooh.

If you are into tiny plushies then the under 3-inch mini size is for you. They come in sets like Thumper and Miss Bunny – a cute cotton tail paring.

Are you into plushies that are functional? This Mickey backpack is handy and I love his rounded body!

You can shop the full range of Ufufy plush at the Disney store. Each one is so cute and soft making them highly collectable. If you have the chance to see them in person, do so, they are so cuddly! Bring your money because you will not be able to walk away without grabbing a few!

Hey Chickadee and JapanLA just launched a Care Bears x Pusheen clothing collection that mixes my childhood favorite Care Bears with my new favorite cartoon kitty Pusheen.

This collection is what pastel dreams are made of! It’s also available in sizes from XS to 4XL – making it an inclusive line for a lot of kawaii fans.

My favorite item is this strappy shirt. I like that it comes in black and the strappy detail turns an otherwise plain tee into a fashion statement.

I would wear this sporty-inspired raglan tee for pajamas but feel guilty that not everyone would be able to bask in its cuteness.

We don’t often share Kickstarters but this Musubi Cat plush is too cute not to share!

Pocket Sushi are more well-known for their cute amigurumi, which often combine food and animals. For their first plush, they’ve chosen Musubi Cat who is inspired by the popular spam and rice snack from Hawaii. It looks so cute and squishy.

As well as the plush, there are other fun rewards including these enamel pins, also based on Hawaiian snacks. Ice Bunny would fit perfectly into my collection.

One thing I really like is that all pledges receive a DIY paper craft model. So even if you can’t afford a plush or pin right now, you can pledge $2 and get something cute – and help make the plushies a reality for when you do have cash.

I still enjoy playing Pokemon Go and love seeing all the cute new products from the Pokemon Center in Japan. I’ll be able to shop in person later this year but it’s still hard to resist sometimes.

I’m especially smitten with the Pokemon Dolls range, which make the characters look like extra-cute plush dolls. Why is this cuter than a regular plush? I don’t know but it just is!

I had to give in and order one of these Pikachu mascot figures, which look just like the human-sized mascots you might meet in Japan. If you’ve always wanted to visit the Pikachu Outbreak events in Yokohama, this lets you have a tiny piece of that at home. It’s a blind box series but I’ll be happy with any of them – hoping for Dittochu though.

You can find most of the Pokemon Dolls collection at Japan Stuffs in Japan, which I can recommend. There’s some items at Pokecenter Loot in the UK too and loads of plush at the official US Pokemon Center.

Sanrio’s new character Marumofubiyori (Moppu for short!) has been getting a bit more attention lately. If you’re a fan of this white bear cub that lazes around in a blanket – and his crab and fish friends – here’s where to buy official products around the world.

US shoppers can go straight to their nearest Sanrio Store. There’s a decent choice of items in their online store too including plush, stationery and bags. I love this plush pin set.

ARTBOX have a similar selection for UK fans but with more stationery. This mini memo pad set is perfect for journalling.

Japan Haul is a new online store from the folks behind YumeTwins and TokyoTreat. They ship worldwide direct from Japan and all the Marumofubiyori products are on sale just now, including this plush pencil case.

For the best selection, you’ll need to visit Japan yourself – or order from the Japanese Sanrio store using a forwarding service like Tenso. Here you’ll find lots more plush, stationery and bags, plus some adorable items for the home.

Jinbe San the kawaii whale shark doesn’t really get big seasonal themes like Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi but San-X have been adding some new characters and designs. Let’s take a look.

The latest theme is just Jinbe San’s giant face, but it’s a very cute face so I love it. You can download this design and more as free wallpapers for desktop and mobile.

This range isn’t up for pre-order yet but keep an eye on the San-X store later this month. These clear pouches are so cute – and useful too.

Baby whale Kojira features on quite a few of the new products too. If these are still available when I’m in Japan, I don’t think I will be able to resist one. It’s always handy to have a spare coin purse in Japan to save all your ¥100 coins for gashapon!

The newest characters in the Jinbe San gang are some deep sea creatures including a sea dragon, lanternfish and round pink octopus. The octopus is really popular and most of the products are sold out but there’s a few of these adorable drawstring bags left.

The closest thing Jinbe San has had to a proper theme is dressing up in sailor hats! You can buy these as plushies and on lots of water-related products like towels, pool bags and drinkware.

And my favourite – the Jinbe San plushie you can use as a pillow, even letting him eat your arm! The latest version is wrapped in a cool fabric for summer, made to look like the paper wrapping on food. Google even translates this as Mr Dinner, noooo!

You can order some of these products now direct from San-X in Japan (using a forwarding service like Tenso). You’ll also find Jinbe San at international stores like ARTBOX (UK) and JapanLA (USA).

If your bedroom could do with a bit of kawaii glam, you need to check out the new Hello Kitty x PBteen collection.

The whole collection is right on trend with a blush pink, ivory, white and black colour scheme  plus plenty pops of shiny gold. It’s a big collection too with everything from bedding and lighting to organisation and decorations.

My personal favourite is this bean bag of Hello Kitty’s head with a giant gold bow. Perfect for lounging around. There’s loads more fun stuff though including a lamp, mirror, sleeping bag and a portable speaker that looks just like a plush toy!

It’s only available in the USA and in a stunningly mean move, EU residents are blocked from even viewing the website to look at all the photos! I’m not sure Hello Kitty would approve. Pusheen has had many variations and friends over the years, but they’ve all been cats. No longer! The new range of Pusheenimals plush includes some very different animals – and they’re all super cute.

Our top fave at the moment is Sloth, who you may have noticed in the Pusheen comics. He has velcro paws so he can hug his friends, including Pusheen!

If you’re prefer dogs to cats, say hello to Pugsheen. This was an April Fool’s joke that is now reality and the range includes plush, stationery, accessories and more. The plush has posable ears for extra fun times.

There’s also a little plush of Cheek the hamster, who has a very sweet tooth. Cake not included, unfortunately.

We can’t wait for the next surprise plush boxes as they include a whole gang of Pusheenimals! I can’t decide which is my favourite but I will definitely need a few of these for my collection.

A few have been made as larger size plush too including this very fluffy lion.

The results are in and once again Cinnamoroll has taken the top spot in the annual Sanrio Character Ranking!

I have to admit that I’m always a little surprised by this as I never see much of him online (or maybe I’m in denial because my fave Pompompurin is always the runner-up!). I decided to have a look around for the cutest Cinnamoroll products and I may just be won over now.

I started at the Sanrio Japan online store and now there are quite a few things on my wish list. If you’re a Cinnamoroll fan, you need to have a browse. I especially like the fruit parlour theme for summer – this tote bag looks it would fit everything and is so colourful. You can order internationally with a forwarding service.

The US Sanrio Store has a nice range too with stationery, squishies, home decor and more. This fluffy phone case is adorable and has space for your cards and cash too.

UK/EU fans should head to ARTBOX who have a huge range of super kawaii Sanrio Originals products from Japan and loads of plushies. I love the pastel colours on this hoodie.

If you love squishies, there are plenty of cute ones at Modes4u, most of which are on sale just now! I really like how they share videos of every squishy so you can see the details, and how squishy it is.

And we can’t finish without a plushie. There are plenty of cute ones around from global sites like Amazon. How sweet is this giant fluffy plush?

I’ve long been a fan of the retro-style kawaii designs of 64 Colors. They recently teamed up with Sanrio for a super cute collection that’s available exclusively at BoxLunch.

It features a whole new side to Hello Kitty as a motorbike-riding superhero ninja! I would definitely read this comic if it existed, but a t-shirt is almost as fun.

Hello Kitty takes up most of the products but there’s an appearance by Deery Lou. I love all the details and colours on this ringer t-shirt.

The bold minimal colour schemes really pop on products that can often be quite boring. I would love to add this mug to my collection.

Prices are quite affordable throughout the collection but it’s great to see stationery and accessories for those on a small budget. How adorable are these sticky memos featuring 64 Colors characters?

And of course, there’s a few enamel pins! You can check out the whole Sanrio x 64 Colors collection online at BoxLunch – they do ship outside of the USA but it appears to be courier-only which is pricey.

This year marks Rilakkuma’s 15th anniversary, and to commemorate the occasion, San-X and Tokyo’s Yamanote Line are launching a Rilakkuma-themed train that will be circling the city between the 1st and 15th of August.

Here’s some super cute Rilakkuma merchandise to celebrate the anniversary of everyone’s favourite lazy bear.

San-X is releasing limited edition Rilakkuma x Yamanote Line merch on 1st August to coincide with the train’s launch, which takes the sting out of not being able to ride it in person. Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori make the most adorable stationmasters, don’t you agree? If you’re lucky enough to be in Japan, you can pick these up at any Rilakkuma Store, otherwise you’ll need to be quick and order online with a forwarding service.

Rilakkuma wears a kigurumi every day, and now his fashion sense appears to have rubbed off on his friends, too! These kigu plush keychains are too cute to bear — pun intended!

Speaking of kigurumis, Japanese kigurumi manufacturer SAZAC makes adult-sized Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma kigus so that you, too, can laze around at home, just like Rilakkuma.

I’ve fallen in love with Re-Ment’s Rilakkuma Old House Café series, which is inspired by traditional Japanese coffee houses. There are eight sets to collect in total, and each one features miniature Rilakkuma-themed items, like teacups and cutlery, which make up one large set once your collection is complete. It’s available from lots of shops including Kawaii Panda.

My notebook addiction is spiralling out of control, but I simply cannot resist this Rilakkuma-shaped notebook at ARTBOX. One more can’t hurt, right?

You’ve probably seen the Itazura kawaii coin banks with a hidden cat inside that swipes away your coin. There’s some really fun new varieties around too, including a few of our favourite characters.

If you’re going to have cats, then why not include the most famous one! Hello Kitty has her own coin bank in classic red and white.

Gudetama may be lazy but he’ll make an effort for a ¥500 coin. I think this one might be my favourite.

Although, it’s hard to resist Pikachu, especially when you hear him go “pika-pika!” at the sound of  a new coin.

The latest coin banks feature Tokage from Sumikko Gurashi, with a little Tapioca friend ready to grab the coin.

It’s always great to see a new tokidoki x Hello Kitty collaboration as it’s guaranteed to be super kawaii. Here’s a few favourites from the latest collection.

This might be the cutest set of blind box toys yet! They’re so summery and I can’t even begin to choose a favourite.

There’s one of tokidoki’s trademark patterns for all the usual bags, backpacks, wallets, purses and more. I love the colours and cute details and this would be a cute way to protect your iPad on the go.

If the weather’s cooler near you, this throw blanket is sure to keep you cosy and cute.

There’s some colourful apparel too with t-shirts, hoodies and hats. This undersea design features Hello Kitty riding a Mermicorno.
